H650 : Took me while to figure this one out for winging, as the stock tail H180 and any tail on medium fuse setting makes the setup feel out of control, twitchy. It feels too unstable as all axes are super loose, its only 72cm of span.
Out of despair I tried the long fuselage (30mm longer) setting with the fast kd13r and it clicked perfectly! locking the pitch/yaw a bit more and letting the roll axis free. It feels like a train track or pretty much regular surfing, big open carves using mostly the roll axis.
That foil is giving the best sensations I had on waves so far, amazing stuff. From chest high to overhead, it can outrun the wave in speed to draw bottom turns out in the flats and come back on the face for long arcs. Feels smooth and controled at crazy speeds, and breaches/recovers amazing just like the H800-H1000. Long mast advised as those speeds, makes it much easier to manage.
I need about 14kts minimum to be comfy winging on it atm, might change with more efficient board and wing. Using 5m strike and 70L board if lightish, 4m strike and 33L board if strong wind.
Keen to try the H700 as 80cm of span seem to be the sweet spot for everyday wave riding (?), between banking angle, twitchiness, glide, low and top end.
