New wing board handmade with the foil wizard @simpeleseluj , made for waves in light wind. Specs are 5’2 20″ 69L (I am 80kg), xps foam and full carbon vaccum, 4.1 kg with inserts and 35cm foil box 🏆🏆🏆
In comparison to the gong lethal 4’6 22″ 65L the gain in low end is 3-4 knots on the same wing/foil combo 🥳. It makes it possible to fly smaller foils for the same light wind (10-14kts), in order to score powerful waves.
This is enabled by :
+ Longer waterline
+ Narrow outline
+ Boxy rails (fanatic inspired) and tail with sharp rails at the back (anyone knows how much rail sharpness matters?)
+ Widest point forward and straight outline (@misterbennetts black eagle inspired)
+ Foil box far forward
Possible cons :
– Board a bit bigger, might feel cumbersome in some situations.. time will tell!
By the way, 1 year of use on the gong board and still going strong, pretty good! (Mostly strapless in waves though)
