Definitive review of the Game Changer 1260.
TLTR : Great surf wing for small waves, but outperformed by current higher aspects.
+ Tight turns, very solid in breaching and foam hits, great low end. Strong construction, can be jumped. Best conditions for it are slow knee high waves.
– Slow, energy expensive to pump, lack of glide. Has a tendancy to dive forward at max speed (design problem I suspect).
Best settings I found are kd13 tail no shim and 1 degree back bolt of mast plate, all the way forward in the box (30cm from the tail!).
It’s a good surfing wing for small waves, quite physical and a bit wobbly at times, but the current higher aspects (takuma kujiras, cabrinha hseries, axis arts) offer a better compromise pumping/turning in my opinion. They tend to offer an easier pumping, more glide and speed, turning almost as tight but more controlled.
