Finally got my hands on the Kujira 1095 after seeing Adam and Erik feedback.

TLTR : Turns like the 980, pumps like the 1210 if at speed. It’s a clear next step in the evolution of the kujira range!

Long version :
– Turning and wave play : Turns like the 980, except if in a tight corner (small hollow wave), then you still feel the wide span. Breaching feels at least as good as the 1210, also super stable in foam hits.
– Pumping and stall : Pumps like the 1210 when at speed in terms of energy input, might get better with more sessions. If the speed is too low then the pumping is quite inefficient, the optimal cruising speed for pumping (minimum energy input per pump) is much higher than the 1210. For a high aspect wing, the stall speed is quite low and it has a very forgiving behavior, with early signs of partial stall when pushing too hard on it at low speed (more forgiving than the armstrong high aspect).
– Role in the range : Can replace the 980 and 1210 for proning on most days. I would still prefer a 980 if there is no pumping and it’s a firing pointbreak, because it would be breaching less on hard turns and feel more compact. I would still prefer the 1210 in very low power waves where the average speed is quite low, also true for the 1440 if the conditions have no size nor power at all.
– Settings that feel right : On the aluminum mast and fuse, no shim on the plate, +0.5 degree shim on the 178 tail (higher AOA). I tried the custom short fuse that I usually run on the 1210, it felt great for turning but a bit draggy on the pumping.
